I caught the obituary of Cec Thompson this week. An orphan, and  a Rugby League international conscious of his lack of education. A window cleaner who became an undergraduate at 39, a graduate and a teacher. While doing all this he built his window cleaning round into an industrial cleaning company employing 250.

This makes me feel lazy, but more importantly impressed by the man’s character. That is the measure of a man.
