Interviews Questions – What are your Strengths?

This is a common question, usually coupled with its converse – what are your weaknesses (for another post).

Include tangible results in your answer, eg written communications, managing turnaround. As with so much of this process, use some work experience stories, so that you can say “I did X to achieve Y”.

Vague and intangible responses are best avoided. “I’m a great person and a really good team player” does not say very much, and is highly subjective.

Be honest (of course). If the job does not allow you to play to your strengths, it is doubtful if it is right for you.
