How to Get a Job

How to get a job if you are a twentysomething woman, that is. Susannah Breslin writes over at Forbes (H/T Instapundit).

Worth a read, even if it expects employers to be both ageist and sexist. Certainly, sitting back and waiting for things to happen is not the way, and proving that you have initiative and drive will help. Career coaching will help you to explore unadvertised job vacancies. Do not stray into the area of harassment, of course.

What is not clear from the article is what you should do if you are not an attractive young woman like Frances Bridges, or if your chosen field does not provide clearly identifiable experts to approach.
