The Recruitment and Employment Confederation’s latest survey has found that employer hiring intentions are at their highest in the UK for 12 months. 62% of those surveyed intended to increase permanent head count over the next 3 months, while 32% will keep it the same.
On the temporary side, a third of employers intended to recruit, with just over half maintaining numbers.
The economy is still fairly fragile, so we will have to wait and see if these intentions become fact, and if the trend continues. But at the moment, these are signs of hope.
